  • RNThe basic version of the PROCHEM centrifugal process pump with a closed impeller, intended for transferring clean or slightly turbid liquids. The RN series is suitable for applications where high hydraulic efficiency, reliable operation and a robust construction for chemical processes are important.
  • RNSThe RNS version uses a closed impeller, similar to the RN, but with an additionally optimised casing with a trapezoidal volute for lower losses and even higher efficiency. On the 1st and 2nd bearing support it allows a conical chamber for a single mechanical seal with a recirculation system, which extends the service life of the seal.
  • RKNSThe RKNS series is a version with an open, recessed impeller for liquids containing crystals, particles or fibres, and for more viscous or turbid media. It is designed to operate without the risk of clogging and is particularly suitable for more demanding process applications where a conventional closed impeller is not optimal.
  • Common constructionAll PROCHEM pumps are horizontal single-stage centrifugal pumps with axial suction, built to the UNI EN 22858 standard. Common features include a robust heavy-duty shaft, oil-lubricated rolling bearings, a Back Pull-Out design for easier servicing and a protected shaft on most bearing supports for lower exposure to the medium.
  • Operating rangeRN and RNS cover higher flow rates and higher heads for clean or slightly contaminated liquids, while the RKNS is intended for lower flow rates but considerably more demanding media. According to the brochure, RN/RNS reach a flow rate of up to approximately 2600 m³/h and a head of up to 140 m, while the RKNS reaches up to approximately 110 m³/h and up to 60 m of head.

Benefits

High hydraulic efficiency

The optimised hydraulic design and advanced flow dynamics ensure high pump efficiency and stable operation in demanding chemical processes.

Robust industrial construction

The solid construction with a robust casing and a shaft dimensioned for heavy operating conditions ensures high reliability and a long pump service life.

Oil-lubricated bearings

The oil-lubricated rolling bearings are selected for a long service life, high reliability and stable operation even in continuous industrial duty.

Shaft protection against the liquid

The shaft design prevents contact with the transferred medium, which reduces the risk of corrosion and allows the use of materials with better mechanical properties.

Back Pull-Out design

The bearing support unit is designed on the Back Pull-Out principle, which allows fast and easy maintenance without dismantling the piping or the pump casing.

Different impeller versions

Versions with a closed or an open (recessed) impeller are available, which allows the transfer of clean, slightly contaminated or viscous chemical liquids.
